Another foreign mission was held in Kraków on 21-25 October as part of the implementation of a project promoting Polish healthcare services.

A group of six contractors came from Ukraine to become familiar with an offer of healthcare services and establish relations with Polish entrepreneurs. The group was composed of physicians and owners of clinics and agencies involved in sending patients for treatments abroad.

Held at the same time on 22-23 October and providing an additional incentive to meet in Kraków, the 3rd Kraków Congress of Medical Tourism is the most important industry event attracting delegates of medical facilities from all over Poland.

On the first day of their stay in Kraków, the group of Ukrainian guests toured the Old Town and after lunch listened to session speeches. In the evening together with all Congress participants they took part in a team-building dinner staged in the historical building of Kraków Municipality.

The second day of the Congress, when B2B meetings were held simultaneously with workshops, was the most important section of the group’s visit. Poland was represented by medical facilities interested in entering into relationships with Ukrainian partners. According to the meetings’ formula, 20 minutes were allocated to each meeting. The B2B session lasted from 10am to 2pm with breaks and involved a total of 13 Polish companies. The meetings were highly popular, lasted until the very end and precisely followed the original plan.

On Wednesday the group had a chance to visit Kraków-based medical facilities that earlier gave their consent. The tour encompassed the Scanmed St. Raphael’s Hospital, the Radiology Therapeutic Center Poland (RTCP), and L. Rydygier’s Specialist Hospital in Kraków. Each of them had adequate time to showcase its treatment infrastructure, rehabilitation section and the degree to which it is prepared to provide services for foreign patients.

The stay in Kraków culminated in a dinner in the Kazimierz district. On Friday morning the guests set out on their way back to Ukraine.
