The already sixth foreign mission of 2018 was staged on 11-15 December as part of the implementation of sub-measure 3.3.2: Smart Growth Operational Program “Promotion of economy based on Polish brands - Polish Economy Brand” dedicated to the advancement of Polish health services. This time Ukrainian journalists were invited to Gdańsk, from which they travelled to Pomorskie (Pomerania) and Kujawsko-Pomorskie (Kuyavia and Pomerania) voivodeships to explore the offer of local health resorts.

On the first day the group visited the Rehabilitation Clinic in Krojanty and the rehabilitation centre in Osiek, where the journalists had a chance to converse with patients from Ukraine, for several years now invited to undertake treatments as part of a project intended to help war victims.

A tour of the infrastructure available in Ciechocinek and the resort’s new treatment facilities was planned on the second day. The participants also enjoyed a melex ride to a historical wooden Orthodox church and therapeutic graduation towers.

On Thursday the group had an opportunity to admire the infrastructure of the largest hospital in Gdańsk and sightsee the European Solidarity Centre.

The last day of the stay was dedicated to an intensive meeting with entrepreneurs representing Pomorskie. More than ten businesses presented their offer targeted at the Ukrainian market: portals for patients, beauty medicine clinics, dental clinics and specialised medical centres. The long day culminated in a visit to a spa in Sopot and an evening walk around the town.

The meeting with entrepreneurs and the group’s stay in Gdańsk was staged in cooperation with the Pomorskie Regional Tourist Organisation.
