POT in Kiev encouraged health-related travels to Poland
On 2-4 October Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT) came to Medical Travel Exhibition and Conference (MTEC) in Kiev to showcase a wide range of Polish healthcare services targeted at the Ukrainian market. The POT stand and a presentation of the Polish offer were highly visible in the main hall hosting a part of the exhibition dedicated to health tourism. The remaining fields concerned the areas of healthcare and medical equipment. The promotional-informative Polish stand featured Ukrainian-- and Russian-language materials covering hospitals, clinics, health resorts and spa & wellness venues. Inquiries of visitors mostly concerned medical conditions, whose treatment is difficult in Ukraine, rehabilitative services, and Poland’s available options of treating epilepsy and rare conditions, such as Hirschsprung’s disease. Representatives of medical facilities declared their readiness to establish relations and cooperate with Polish clinics in the range of training sessions and patient care. In addition, guests received information about the full medical offer of Poland. POT also provided an additional interactive form of verifying key information about Poland in the form of a quiz with awards and photos with badges encouraging travelling to our country.
The stand was also visited by a media representative, journalist Tetiana Negoda of the Сегодня magazine, who prepared an article discussing the Polish offer of health tourism. In addition, the list of our guests included journalists who participated in an inbound mission from Ukraine, held in February 2018 in the Lubelskie (Lublin) voivodeship, as part of a project promoting health services and implementing the 3.3.2 sub-measure of Smart Growth Brand Operational Program “Promotion of economy based on Polish brands - Polish Economy Brand”.
Besides POT, the Wish & Travel agency from Warsaw also showcased its offer at the exhibition.
